Paris Rue Mouffetard

Bonjour mes amis!

Today continues with very cold and gloomy weather in Paris (thankfully not as much wind as yesterday).  It even rained a few times throughout the day.  Not to be set back by the weather, I made it to Rue Mouffetard  this morning.

I knew there were was going to be a farmer's market, some entertainment, but what I did not know and was  oh so pleasantly surprised is there was also a big flea market going on!  (Heart fluttering).

I spent almost four hours today and I didn't even run the full stretch of the street!  I scoured the vendors to see if there was absolutely anything I could not leave Paris without.  I bought  8 tiny coffee spoons that everyone uses here to stir their coffee (I could not find the tiny coffee cups)... I bought (gasp!) 3 books. Anyone that knows me knows that If I spoke French I would have bought a whole lot more.  The books are from author Anita Brookner whom I have never read.   If anyone has please let me know your thoughts.  I bought some facial sunscreen (I actually forgot mine at home and had been wanting some) and then I bought this totally funky bohemian dress that I can wear over tights.  You will see me in it in future pics :)

I bought the most heavenly nutella crepe which can only be describe as pure bliss!! On my way home I stopped by the boulangerie to buy a baguette for morning breakfast and then watched more entertainment.  There was a small band playing music and people were dancing and there was this elderly couple who were magnificent to watch.   I'm beginning to feel so Parisian!! :)

Then I did laundry (2 loads for almost $15 bucks - OUCH!!)
